New Features and Improvements

  • Upgraded to Java 21: Improved performance, security, and access to the latest language features.

  • Context-Aware “Add to Simulation” Button: Appears only when relevant, with discard functionality and keyboard support.

  • Sun Position Now Reflects Geographic Time Zones: Sun positioning adjusts to the local time zone of the scene’s location.

  • Timeline Time and Date Now Visible While Collapsed: Time and date are always shown if the timeline is active.

  • Cancel Walking Mode Placement with Escape or UI Interaction: Easier to exit walking mode before placement.

  • Physics Toggle Now Reflects Availability Status: Disabled when physics is unavailable.

  • Improved Terrain Alignment for Line Datasets: Lines follow terrain shape more naturally.

Bug Fixes

  • Building Colors Persist After Deselecting: Custom colors are now retained reliably.

  • Wires Immediately Appear in Tension View: Newly added wires appear correctly.

  • Corrected Hint Text in Wire Node Menu: Updated text aligns with menu functionality.

  • Independent Polygon Min/Max Ports: Ports now function independently.

  • Standardized Naming for Rotation Ports and Menus: Terminology is now consistent across the interface.

Known Issues

  • The Add Wire drop down menu may occasionally become unresponsive, preventing selection of a wire type. Workaround: Move the mouse cursor outside the Add Wire panel and then back in to restore functionality.

  • Buttons in the “Plot a New Graph” window may stop responding after multiple clicks inside the graph area. Workaround: Click outside the window to restore functionality.

  • Duplicated or pasted cranes cannot be station assigned. Workaround: Use the Add Object menu to place new cranes.

  • The “Add to Simulation” button remains disabled if objects are copied and pasted while the Wire menu is open; use “Add to Simulation” from the right-click context menu.

  • When duplicating or copying actors with child objects, committing them to the simulation using Enter may result in some child objects not appearing. Workaround: Use the “Add to Simulation” button.

  • Deleting multiple graph tabs while utilizing the Repeating Date and Time Controller Actor may require restarting the sandbox.

  • Camera Tilt Zoom Inversion: Tilting the camera down to its maximum and pressing zoom may invert controls. Workaround: Press “Fly to Home” to restore normal functionality.

  • Sun Direction Degree Value: The degree input value for the sun direction does not reflect the true sun direction.
