New Features and Improvements

  • Integrated Scene Management Menu in Web Viewer: A new, unified menu in the web viewer makes it easier to load, save, and manage scenes directly in your browser. Key features:

    • Load Scenes Through Web Viewer:

      • Scene List Access: Click the World icon to view available scenes.

      • Dynamic Search: Use the search bar to filter scenes based on keywords.

      • Search Box Auto-focus: Pressing the search icon automatically places the text cursor in the search field, allowing immediate typing.

      • Loading Indicator: A progress bar shows the status of scene loading.

    • Save Scenes Using the Web Viewer:

      • Save buttons in the bottom-right corner or within the scenes list.

      • Disabled Save Until Launch: Saving is unavailable until a scene is launched.

      • Confirmation Message: Displays upon successful save.

    • Save Scenes with a New Name:

      • “Save As” option via drop-down menu.

      • Name Prompt: Enter a new scene name and folder location.

      • Error Handling: Alerts for duplicate names or empty fields.

      • Confirmation Message: Displays after a successful save, updating the scene name.

    • Confirmation Prompt When Stopping a Scene:

      • Warning on Unsaved Changes: Users receive a warning about unsaved changes before stopping a scene.

      • User Confirmation Required: A confirmation is required to proceed with stopping the scene.

    • Prevent Starting a New Scene While Another Is Running:

      • Disabled Scene List: When a scene is running, the scene list is grayed out.

      • No New Scene Launch: Users cannot start a new scene until the current one is stopped.

  • Enhanced Pins with Metadata and Images: Pins now support the addition of metadata and external images, providing users with more detailed and interactive options. Key features:

    • Clicking a pin opens a side panel titled “Details”.

    • Users can add, edit and remove comments.

    • An Edit button in the top-right corner opens a form with fields for Image URL, Attributes, and Description.

    • Saved changes are reflected in the side panel, while blank fields remain hidden.

    • Clicking an image expands it to full screen, with a close button for easy dismissal.

    • Note: Currently, only images with a video aspect ratio are supported.

  • Improved Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) Implementation: Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) has been enhanced to provide more robust and flexible user permissions.

  • Warning When Sandbox is Not Receiving Keyboard Input: A warning now displays when Sandbox (SBX) is not receiving keyboard input.

    • Clicking outside the main window (e.g., on the white sidebar) and pressing a key triggers a warning for several seconds.

    • This warning does not appear when typing in input boxes, such as the search field.

  • Resolved Intermittent Issue with Saving Scenes: The issue where saving a scene occasionally appeared to fail, causing changes to seem lost or not displayed correctly, has been fixed.

  • Important Note: Ctrl+W Behavior in Web Viewer: Pressing Ctrl+W in the web viewer to slow the camera also triggers the browser’s default action, closing the current tab. Users are encouraged to avoid using this shortcut.

Known Issues

  • Session Initiates After Rapid Cancel Click: If the Cancel button is clicked too quickly during session startup, the session may still initiate instead of stopping. The message “Session starting” will appear instead of “Session not started.” A fix is currently under investigation.
