Simulation Controls

Simulation controls are located at the bottom of the screen. By default, this menu shows a toggle that starts or stops physics, as well as the running simulation time with the ability to pause the simulation.

Simulation Control Buttons

Simulation Time

Play or pause time and therefore also physics in the simulation. Useful for building the scene and stopping assets from moving during precision placement.

Simulation Speed

Select the speed at which the simulation is running. Keep in mind that increasing simulation time to run at speeds exceeding 1.0X is dependent on the complexity of the scene and your hardware.

Speed options:

0.3X

0.5X

1.0X

2.0X

3.0X

Start/Stop Physics

Start or stop physics, but leave simulation time running. Certain operations, such as rigging complex wire or constraint systems, may require a temporary stop of physics. Stopping physics also creates a save point, allowing you to reset your simulation to the last state using the reset function.

Reset

Restores your simulation to the last saved physics scene state (before last start of physics). This acts like an Undo for physics in case something goes wrong.

Reset to File

Discards all changes and reloads the scene as it was last saved. Speeds up prototyping by restoring the scene to the last loaded or saved file.
